Overview
In an expense workflow that starts with a phone photo, capture quality affects all subsequent extraction. Veryfi offers capture components alongside a document API, so evaluate the full workflow, not only a prepared PDF. For a receipt, also decide which amount counts as the expense and how to handle currency or tax details before showing the result for approval.

Getting started
- Photograph documents in different lighting and from different angles, and define the fields required for ingestion.
- Photograph the same receipt straight on, at an angle, and in low light. Compare the supplier, currency, tax, and grand total, not just whether the API returned a response.
- Connect the output to an expense review form and display the source alongside it. Check that an employee can correct a value and that retaking a photo does not record an additional expense.
