Overview

Flow can reduce manual handling of recurring events such as sorting orders and operational follow-up. It is especially useful when the starting point and information are already in the store. Before building a workflow, decide what should happen to an unusual order and what to do if an external app is unavailable, so the workflow does not hide tasks that were not completed.

Features

  • A workflow builder based on store events
  • Conditions that distinguish between different orders and situations
  • Actions in Shopify and supported apps

Business uses

  • Flag orders with an operational attribute for separate handling
  • Trigger follow-up after an order status changes

Getting started

  • Install Flow in a test store or start with a workflow that has no financial impact
  • Choose one event and a condition that limits the workflow to relevant cases
  • Run sample orders and also test a path where the condition is not met

What to check

  • The Send HTTP Request action depends on the store plan; check eligibility in advance
  • Check the plan's API limits and behavior under load
