Overview

Supplier document formats vary between companies and sometimes between shipments from the same supplier. With Rossum, plan validation as part of the workflow, rather than as a check performed only during setup. For example, an order number that was read clearly still needs to match an existing order. Define who handles an exception, how they correct it, and exactly what is returned to the target system after correction.

Features

  • Capturing information from documents
  • Validation and exception routing
  • Invoice, order, and supply workflows

Business uses

  • Preparing an invoice for a matching check before it is recorded
  • Extracting information from order and delivery documents

Getting started

  • Choose a defined document stream and specify which missing fields require processing to stop.
  • Submit two documents from the same supplier in different formats and check that the business fields retain the same meaning, especially the order number, amount, and date.
  • Create an intentional exception, such as a missing order number, correct it during review, and check that the export contains the approved value without creating an additional record.

What to check

  • Check how the system handles format changes from the same supplier and multipage documents.
  • Check what is sent to the target system after human correction and how duplicate ingestion is prevented.
