Qdrant: artificial intelligence features and setup
An open-source vector search engine (Rust) for finding similarities between vectors.
Tool by the Otomatzia editorial team · source content checked on
Overview
Qdrant is used when a system needs to find similar passages based on vectors, for example in knowledge documents or customer questions. It is a vector search engine, not a replacement for a business record database. Before building retrieval, plan how to chunk documents, which metadata to store, and how to filter by permissions. Similarity search does not guarantee a correct answer without a source citation and human review in sensitive cases.
Features
- Open-source similarity search over vectors
- Filtering by metadata and permissions
- Self-hosted or managed service
