Overview
When integrating Mindee into a form or application, start with the output schema the application needs, not a list of every detail visible in the document. JSON output enables further processing, but you still need to define required fields, data types, and what a missing value means. When splitting scans, it is especially important to preserve the link between the original page and the record created from it.
Features
- Field extraction to JSON output
- Document type classification
- Splitting files that contain multiple documents
Business uses
- Capturing a document uploaded by a user to a business form
- Sorting a scan file into documents before data extraction
Getting started
- Define a field schema and submit examples of varying quality through the interface.
- Upload a single photo and a file containing two documents, then check that splitting and extraction do not associate one customer's name or number with the other document.
- In the receiving system, check a missing date, a number with a leading zero, and an empty table, and make sure the data schema does not silently change the meaning of extracted values.
What to check
- Check Hebrew mixed with English, numbering, and tables in your documents.
- Check how a combined scan is split to ensure information from different customers is not joined.
