Mem0: artificial intelligence features and setup
A memory layer for AI agents and applications that preserves context from previous interactions.
Tool by the Otomatzia editorial team · source content checked on
Overview
Mem0 is designed for agents or applications that need to remember preferences and facts from previous conversations without including the entire history in every request. Selected memories are stored and retrieved when relevant to the context. Before deploying it in a business, decide what may be remembered, for how long, and how to delete information at a customer's request. Unmanaged memory can surface an old detail that is no longer accurate.
Features
- Store memories from previous interactions
- Retrieve relevant context for an agent or application
- A memory layer that can be connected to an existing application
Business uses
- A service agent that remembers a customer's preferred communication channel
- An internal assistant that retains project decisions between meetings
Getting started
- Define which types of facts may be stored in a test environment.
- Submit a few conversations and check what is retrieved in the next conversation.
- Check deletion, updating an old fact, and an irrelevant memory.
What to check
- Set a retention and deletion policy before connecting customer data.
- Do not assume every sentence in a conversation should be retained as a fact.
