SSO is an authentication mechanism that lets a user sign in to multiple related but independent software systems with a single identity. True single sign-on grants access to services without requiring authentication factors again.

In business automation
SSO lets employees sign in to several services through a shared identity provider. It can simplify onboarding and offboarding, but it does not by itself determine what each user is allowed to do within an application.
Examples
These examples illustrate a possible workflow. Adapt the connections and rules to your own systems.
Business process example
An employee joins the automation team and receives access through the organization's identity provider. The system administrator grants them editing access only to the relevant project. When they leave, the integrations and tokens they created are also reviewed.

What to check
- Disabling a user account does not always revoke existing service keys. Include them in the access removal process.
