In business automation
Semantic search is useful when users phrase a question differently from the documents. Exact identifiers such as an SKU or order number may still require exact search or a combination of both methods.
Examples
These examples illustrate a possible workflow. Adapt the connections and rules to your own systems.
Business process example
An employee searches for how to return equipment after leaving the company. The system finds the offboarding procedure even without the same wording, and shows the source so the employee can check the details.

What to check
- Similarity in meaning is not identity. Check that a similar document does not refer to a different product, department, or period.
