Rate limit
Rate limiting controls the rate at which requests are sent to or received by a network interface. On the WhatsApp platform, API requests count toward the app's request quota in a rolling one-hour window, and there are also message and throughput limits.

In business automation
A rate limit determines how many requests or actions can be made within a given time window. A process handling many records should control its workload and wait as directed by the service when it reaches a limit.
Examples
These examples illustrate a possible workflow. Adapt the connections and rules to your own systems.
Business process example
A customer import divides the work into batches. When the API returns a rate limit response, the process saves its progress and waits before continuing, instead of restarting the entire import.
