Perplexity trusts GPT-6 Astra with end-to-end systems

On September 14, 2026, OpenAI publishes how Perplexity uses GPT-6 Astra to write communications, change software and monitor systems in the production environment, with fewer manual checks than with earlier models. According to Johnny Ho, the model also builds test plans around applications and checks workflows end to end.
