AI Agent Reliability: Debug, Evaluate, and Monitor in Production

On September 8, 2026, the n8n blog publishes a guide to AI agent reliability in production. Yulia Dmitrieva describes five stages: reliability controls (model settings, prompts, schemas, Guardrails and routing), debugging failures with execution tagging and traces, performance evaluation with a test dataset, tracking metrics (execution, quality, efficiency and safety), and operational and behavioral monitoring. In n8n this translates into workflow decisions: the AI Agent node, Guardrails, IF/Switch, Execution Data, Insights, Evaluations and Prometheus. LangSmith and LangFuse are also mentioned for self-hosted deployments. The date on the page is September 8, 2026.
