Introducing n8n Assistant
On September 9, 2026, the n8n blog introduces n8n Assistant. The user describes an automation in free language, and the assistant plans the workflow, builds it on the canvas, asks for credentials when needed, runs it, debugs and fixes it. The result is a regular n8n workflow (visible, editable, with an execution log) and not a one-off script. It is available by default on Cloud for new instances (Enterprise Cloud is currently excluded), and on self-hosted Docker from version 2.36 with your own keys. It is still behind a preview flag. It replaces the old AI Workflow Builder.
