AI Agent Observability: Tracing and Debugging Production Agents
On August 14, 2026 n8n publishes a guide to observing agents in production. An agent does not always follow the same path, so regular infrastructure monitoring does not explain why it chose a tool. n8n records a run ID, input and output at the node level, and can send logs to Datadog, Grafana Loki and similar. Error Workflows trigger an alert or recovery when a run fails. The post recommends alerts for latency, token consumption and failed tool calls.
