OpenClaw 2.0 released: here is what's new (and there is a lot)
On August 31, 2026 Geektime reports on OpenClaw 2.0, an update to the agent that began as Peter Steinberger's Clawdbot and ended in an exit to OpenAI. The installer detects a Claude or ChatGPT subscription, API keys and local models. The browser app was rebuilt with conversation search, task tracking, password prompts on a masked screen, and improved video and audio viewing.
