Asana cuts model costs 76x in browser tests with GPT-6.1 Sol
Asana lets customers build, through StackAI, no-code workflows that navigate websites, fill in forms and collect information. StackAI's CTO directed GPT-6 Astra in Codex to run experiments on the browser agent, and in a study of 144 runs the workflow tuned on GPT-6.1 Sol came out 76x cheaper and 5x faster than the original production setup, with an estimated model cost of about $0.47 per run and about four minutes. The improvement came from extending the cache to the browsing history, increasing the amount of text that is kept, and removing screenshots in batches. Asana has already released the browser navigation changes in StackAI and plans to build such tests into the platform's evaluations.
