What it is
Notion is a workspace for docs and databases. Databases hold structured items with properties, views and relations, which makes them usable as task boards or request trackers.
Automation options
Database automations can react to new or changed pages and run actions such as editing properties or sending a Slack notification. Availability depends on plan.
External tools use the Notion API through an integration that must be explicitly shared with each page or database it needs.
Limits to plan for
The API is rate limited, so bulk imports need pacing and retries.
Plans, usage limits and prices for Notion change often. We do not quote them here; check the official pricing page before you commit, and model your expected monthly volume against it.
