What it is
Make is a hosted automation platform. You build a scenario on a visual canvas: a trigger module starts it, and further modules transform data, branch with routers and filters, and call other apps.
It suits teams that want branching logic and data mapping without running their own server.
Where it fits
Make is a reasonable choice when a workflow needs several branches, iterators over lists, or explicit error handling routes, and the team prefers a hosted product.
- Form or webhook intake that writes to a CRM and a spreadsheet
- Scheduled syncs between two SaaS tools
- Processes where you want to see each run step by step in the execution history
Limits to plan for
Usage is metered per plan, so a scenario that loops over many records can consume much more than one run suggests. Test with realistic volumes first.
Error handling is something you design, not something you get by default: add error handler routes and decide what happens to incomplete runs.
Plans, usage limits and prices for Make change often. We do not quote them here; check the official pricing page before you commit, and model your expected monthly volume against it.
How to evaluate it
Rebuild one real process end to end in a test workspace, including a failure case, before moving anything live.
