Uber rolls out the ChatGPT Work agent to more than 30,000 employees

OpenAI reports that Uber is starting a company-wide rollout of ChatGPT Work, an agent inside ChatGPT Enterprise that handles complex, multi-step tasks and delivers finished work. After a 1,000-employee pilot, it will reach more than 30,000 employees, making it Uber's first company-wide deployment of an agentic platform for knowledge work. ChatGPT Work connects to everyday tools such as Google Drive, Gmail, Google Calendar and Slack, and is used to research information, prepare meeting briefs, build presentations, analyze data and complete workflows across apps. GPT-6.1 Sol will be the default model. The rollout is backed by Uber's internal AI skills library, approved integrations and employee training across operations, finance, marketing and product, while engineering teams keep using Codex. The companies plan to share adoption data and outcomes as the rollout progresses.
