Greptile uses GPT-6 Astra computer use to test apps like a real user, and feeds Codex its codebase knowledge over MCP
In a customer story on the OpenAI blog, Greptile, which builds AI agents that review and test code changes with full context of the codebase, explains how it uses GPT-6 Astra's computer use to test applications instead of only reading code. According to CEO Daksh Gupta, for a pull request the agent can start a development server, resize the browser to an iPhone-sized viewport, simulate a user moving through the app and spot a problem such as a button that disappears on mobile, testing he says a QA firm could not keep up with at today's pace of code. Greptile also uses Daybreak to strengthen its customers' security. Its Knowledge Base indexes a company's codebase and documents how it works in a form people and agents can read, and exposes that documentation to Codex through an MCP server so Codex writes code that follows existing patterns. Gupta says thousands of customers have connected Codex to the Knowledge Base, and the company tracks how often AI-generated code is reverted, reporting fewer reverts when agents get context. The post does not give pricing.
